The main aim of the Emergency Medicine Scientific Journal „HALO 194“ is to secure its place as a regional leader among journals of its type by publishing high-quality research papers primarily on the subject of prehospital and hospital emergency medicine, as well as providing open access to published articles.
The additional aim of the journal is promotion, sharing and advancement of knowledge, as well as acquiring new knowledge among specialists and subspecialists of all specialties, general practitioners, academicians and scientific researchers from the region and all over the world. The ambitious wish of the Editorial Board is national and international sharing of information, knowledge and experience between medical professionals and other scientists in order to improve the quality of healthcare, the quality of life and the patient’s final outcome, as well as promote further scientific research.
The journal offers a quick and time limited overview and publication of prestigious or popular articles; increases the visibility and influence of published articles in all spheres of emergency medicine (internal medicine, general practice, anaesthesiology, neurology, neurosurgery, surgery, gynaecology, psychiatry, transfusiology etc.).
The journal only accepts articles that fulfil the general criteria described in author instructions. Upon receiving a written request, the journal may allow copying, distribution and adaptation of published articles, under the condition that the original article and source are properly cited.
The journal is published three times a year. Articles are published free of charge. All published articles are freely available immediately after publication and the DOI number shall be awarded by CrossRef.
